Memorial Day Tournament Schedule

 

Hey Everyone,

   

   The annual Memorial Day Tournament is finally upon us. We are looking forward to a great weekend of cricket and wish to thank, in advance, everyone making the trip for this being the best event of the calendar year. Last year's tournament was hotly contested and Salt Lake are looking forward to welcoming even more teams this year.

Very Solid Away Win

 

Salt Lake Sabrecats won the toss and elected to bat first. The opening partnership provided a good start to the innings. As usual, aggressive batting by Jagdev Singh, and the steady hands of Shahzad Ahmed. Both of whom laid a solid foundation for the middle order batsmen. The batting highlights belonged to Bharaht Kandati who sparked the innings by adding quick 53 runs with 6 sixes and 2 fours. Arun supported Bharaht by adding 28 runs with 2 sixes and he also took one wicket on his very first ball.

Match Report - 8 April 2012

 

8 April 2012

 

Utah Lions won the toss and elected to bat first. Sabercats captain Nasir Khan was hoping they would, because of the unknowns of how the newly remodeled pitch would play.

As usual, Atif started the innings with his thunderous and destructive pace making the opposition batsmen uncomfortable and took a wicket in his second over. After the first bowling change Saeed and Arun made it even more difficult for the opposing batsmen to score against them. Arun displayed great bowling skills by taking 3 wickets in five overs and only gave up 18 runs.

Final Las Vegas Schedule

Hey Guys,

 

  So the weekend is almost here and that means the long-awaited Vegas trip is at hand. Nasir sent out an updated schedule and roster of players. This trip has been a long time coming and I know that we are all excited to get a good weekend of cricket under our belts. After a rocky start to the season, a good showing this week will help the outlook for this young spring.

 

  The trip will consist of two days of cricket. Saturday is a 30-over match that is scheduled to begin precisely at 10:30 AM. Sunday's match will be a 20-over affair and is scheduled for a 10 AM st

Pre-Season Planning Meeting

Hey Guys,

 

  I'm sure that everyone here has heard from Nasir throughout the week, but this is just a follow-up announcement to let everyone know that we will be having a Pre-Season Planning meeting on Saturday 25 February 2012 at the Old Desi Market on Redwood Road. It is scheduled to begin from 17:30. The exact address is 1615 W. 2100 S. We look forward to seeing everyone and getting ready to start the new season.
